David Cagliola, President

David Cagliola is a Principal and Co-founder of Radnor Benefits Group, Inc. David works with organizations to develop strategies for both short and long term cost containment and process improvement while maintaining quality and controlling costs within employee health care and related employee benefits.


David has over 20 years of experience in the employee benefits industry. David began his career in the group insurance operation of Prudential Insurance Company. After gaining valuable experience on the insurance carrier side of the industry he joined a regional consulting firm as a benefits advisor to medium size organizations located in the Delaware Valley. Since joining Radnor benefits Group in 1997, David has developed an extensive consulting practice assisting several hundred organizations with strategic benefits planning. David has worked with many multi-site and multi-state groups on short and long term strategy development, consumer directed health care, benefits benchmarking, disease management, wellness and cost containment initiatives. David has extensive experience with organizations in the early stage/emerging growth segment, pharmaceutical, life sciences, health care, and not-for-profit industries.

John Cerami, Jr., Executive Vice President

John has over twenty-five years of diverse business experience. Prior to joining Radnor Benefits Group, John served as the Chief Financial Officer for a multi-site retail operation where his responsibilities included procurement, management and the on-going administration of all employee and executive benefit programs. He also designed, formed and served as the sole trustee to a VEBA trust which administered self-funded health benefits.

John also previously served as the Director of Corporate and Strategic Marketing for The Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York (MONY), a diversified insurance and financial services company where he concentrated in work site products and executive benefits. John was the project manager of the team that researched and developed a Corporate Owned Life Insurance (COLI).

John graduated with highest distinction from Pennsylvania State University with a BS in Accounting. He participated in the Accounting honors program and minored in Communications and German language. John also studied international business at the University of Cologne, Germany as part of a foreign studies program.

Murray Mclachlan, Vice President & Senior Consultant

Murray McLachlan leads Radnor Benefits Group’s Underwriting and Pricing, and Vendor Management functions. Murray works with organizations to evaluate claims data and develop strategies for both short and long term cost containment while maintaining quality within employee health care and related employee benefits. Murray utilizes proprietary pricing models to review historical data and develop projections for future trend and utilization.


Murray has over 30 years of experience in underwriting and account management in the employee benefits industry. Murray has worked for both Prudential Health care and Aetna where he held various positions within the National Account area. Prior to joining Radnor Benefits Group, Murray worked for CareGain, a company providing administrative services to Consumer Directed Health Plans. Murray has extensive experience in claims and data review, pricing projections, data benchmarking and self-funded arrangements. Murray assists to develop pro-active claims management within health, pharmacy and disability programs. Murray has helped organizations to develop effective strategies for consumer directed health plans, voluntary benefits, benchmarking, disease management, wellness, alternative funding and contribution modeling initiatives. Murray has in-depth experience in large multi-state/multi-site employers in health care, utilities, not-for-profit, and professional services industries.
